Strong Support of The Arts, Entrepreneurs & Medicine Builds a Strong Community

What makes a strong community?

Lots of things, really, including good schools and plenty of jobs that let families move up the ladder to achieve their dreams.

But communities are really made of people, and the best communities are made up of people who want to make their communities even better.

U.S. Bank, which ranks fifth among U.S. commercial banks, is dedicated to making Cincinnati stronger, both through the business it does every day and through its people. Two business lines in U.S. Bank’s Wealth Management division – the Ascent Private Capital Management of U.S. Bank and The Private Client Reserve – have more than 75 officers who serve on more than 52 boards of community organizations in Greater Cincinnati.

Those organizations make Cincinnati a better and more vibrant place to live, which, in turn, attracts good businesses and their families, enhancing our community with additional economic assets, diversity  and innovative ideas, says Michael Bailes, senior vice president and personal trust managing director with The Private Client Reserve.

The Private Client Reserve provides a holistic and team-based approach of investment, trust, banking and planning services to high-net-worth individuals and families, while Ascent serves ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families in this wealth management space.

U.S. Bank helps support those good works with a variety of donations, grants and sponsorships. In 2013, the U.S. Bank Foundation distributed $23.4 million in grants to nonprofits across the nation in the education, arts and economic opportunity sectors. Then the wealth management teams commit a portion of their local marketing budget to support officers board involvement and those organizations that align with their clients passion for philanthropy in our community.

“Having a strong community starts with having diverse nonprofit organizations that do great things to support, sustain and grow this place we call home,” says Jim Ryan, Jr., senior vice president and managing director of The Private Client Reserve. “Getting to know the organizations and the executives who lead them, that is when you come face-to-face with the true good, the true pride that drives the passion and commitment for helping the community.”

Here’s a look at three of the organizations U.S. Bank and its employees have supported in Greater Cincinnati.

The Private Client Reserve of U.S. Bank is located at 425 Walnut St., Cincinnati, OH  45202.  You can contact them at 800.727.1919 or visit them online at reserve.usbank.com
