A local staple for furniture, mattresses and top-notch customer service is expanding its footprint by adding a 12th store! Furniture Fair, a locally owned and operated retailer, is celebrating its 60th year in the industry and expanding by adding a new showroom in the suburb of Greenwood, Indiana, just south of Indianapolis.

“Greenwood presented itself as a perfect fit for our vision, and we couldn’t pass up the chance to bring our offerings to this thriving region,” says Craig Daniels, Marketing Manager. “We’re truly excited about this new venture!”

The Greenwood location will be a sprawling 65,000-square-foot showroom filled with an assortment of home furnishings and a state-of-the-art design center for customers to explore and choose more custom options for their homes. Also, using Furniture Fair’s exclusive, revolutionary technology, BedMatch Rest Test, customers can find the best mattress for a perfect night’s sleep.

“Greenwood and the Indianapolis area felt like the next logical step for us. Its customer base is similar to Cincinnati, which has been an excellent home for us. We noticed the southern part of Indianapolis is a growing area, and we are eager to grow alongside it,” Daniels says.

Expansion in the Louisville area

Greenwood is not Furniture Fair’s only new location. A 90,000-square-foot Clarksville, Indiana showroom opened earlier this year. Clarksville is in close proximity to Louisville and is nestled along the banks of the Ohio River.

“We are beyond excited for our newest location in Clarksville, just north of Louisville. It’s a fantastic area and the customer base since opening in May has been great,” says Daniels. “Our continued growth and success would not have been possible if it wasn’t for Cindy Baker, who was instrumental in designing the new store for us, and others who helped lead the project. We want to thank those Furniture Fair team members for being a vital piece to our growth.”

The new Clarksville location offers a wide selection of home furnishings that will fit your design preference and budget.

Grand Re-Opening in October

To match the look and feel of the newer stores that have opened in the last five years, Furniture Fair is revamping their Cold Spring, Kentucky location. This October, expect to see a new state-of-the-art design center to customize home furnishings as well as the exclusive BedMatch Rest Test technology.

Cold Spring is Furniture Fair’s largest location, with a massive 100,000-square-foot showroom and outlet space that offers additional savings on clearance furniture, special buys and more.

“Our goal is to continue providing our customers with the best experience possible when it comes to furniture and mattress shopping,” Daniels says.

Growth Means New Jobs

Furniture Fair anticipates the growth of its brand to add 40-50 new jobs to the economy. Sales associates, managers, warehouse employees and additional corporate positions will all be needed to support the added locations.

“Our customers deserve the best experience possible, and our people make that happen,” Daniels says. “We have amazing employees who make sure they are doing what is best for our customers.

Furniture Fair works diligently for its customer base. Behind the scenes, the purchasing team sees to it that customers have the best quality goods at every price point. On the floor, the sales teams train to be experts to ensure each customer makes the right purchase for their home. Additionally, Furniture Fair has a top-notch delivery and warehouse crew that works around the clock, providing the best delivery experience in the city. Its customer care team is available and ready to assist with any questions or issues that may arise.

“We know our stores may be one of the many places you visit in search of the perfect furniture or mattress for your home, and we want you to purchase your home furnishings with confidence in both the product and the company behind it,” says Daniels. “That’s why, at Furniture Fair, we do our part to offer quality furniture at a fair price. We don’t want growth to come at the expense of the customer experience and we are very mindful of that.”

Keep On Giving

Furniture Fair has always been actively involved in the communities where they are located. The retailer will continue the tradition of charitable giving with the new Indianapolis location.

“We are nothing without our communities,” Daniels says. “We hope to positively impact the Indy community similarly to how we have in Cincinnati, Dayton and Louisville,” Daniels says.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is one of Furniture Fair’s biggest philanthropic partners, and plans are to support the Indianapolis chapter, especially with Light the Night, one of LLS’ biggest events of the year. Furniture Fair has donated more than $1.5 Million dollars to fund research and patient access to LLS.
