When it comes to innovations in home tech, the sky’s the limit. When it comes to shopping and learning about those cutting-edge solutions, however, many consumers find themselves feeling left out in the cold.
Fortunately, that’s where Hanson Audio Video shines, offering an unrivaled customer journey in both Cincinnati and Dayton.
It’s important that consumers “experience it before you buy it,” stresses Hanson AV owner Troy Hanson. His organization, known for its top-tier showrooms, is proudly unveiling a breathtaking new Dayton showroom.
“The new showroom is considerably larger to feature products and solutions not possible in our old location,” Hanson says. “Multiple lighting solutions, outdoor entertainment with two patios, shades, a golf simulator, ultimate automation … and, of course, we offer a new spin on home theater and hi-fi listening,” he explains.
The organization’s dual showrooms offer separate but equally distinctive appearances. Hanson AV’s Cincinnati location is a two-story structure with a modern aesthetic, a black exterior and a white interior. Dayton’s location, on the other hand, has a cream exterior with a dark interior and a mid-century design throughout.
Hanson’s decision to create two unique showrooms was a deliberate one.
“Rather than copy what we did in Cincinnati, we wanted to have something totally different,” Hanson says of the new Dayton location. Homeowners contemplating tech investments could visit both showrooms, he adds.
Hanson AV’s 5,800-square-foot Cincinnati showroom is located at the intersection of I-275 and Montgomery Road. It provides customers with three hi-fi listening rooms, three home theaters and a home automation experience center. In 2018, it was awarded a CEDIA Showroom of the Year Award for the Americas Region, consisting of North and South America. CEDIA (Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association) is the leading global authority in the $14 billion home technology industry. The association represents 3,700 member companies and serves more than 30,000 industry professionals who manufacture, design and integrate audio, video, and smart home products and services.
The company’s new Dayton showroom is located in Washington Township, just one mile north of I-675 on Far Hills Avenue.
Both of his showrooms do offer a number of common products, Hanson notes. But those investing in lighting, blinds, golf simulators, home theater tech and security will make the most of that experience by visiting both stores (just 35 minutes apart). You’ll get two completely different views of the products in action.
That’s beneficial, he says, because there’s so much to be excited about when it comes to the investment potential in new home technology, for either entertainment or function. Hanson cites significant improvements in televisions, projectors, speakers and streaming high-resolution video. He also points out the benefits of products like lighting.
Hanson says that innovative lighting products have become a customer favorite due to the variety of ways light can be layered to accentuate furnishings, art, workspaces and other locations throughout a home.
He also points to the importance of outdoor-related tech that can elevate living space. “Security, blinds, sound systems and outdoor televisions can enhance time spent outdoors,” Hanson says. “It’s been very popular, and it’s fun to implement.”
Hanson AV offers an expansive inventory of world-class brands like McIntosh, Bowers & Wilkins, Magico, Sonus Faber, Moon by Simaudio, Devialet, Control4 and Sonos.
If you ask Hanson, it all comes back to what first inspired him: a passion for business and a love of music, movies and home technology. Most of all, he’s proud to bring joy to so many families.
