The Emotion & Artistry of Cooking

Through passion, superior customer service and a love for food, Chef Michael, owner of Four Seasons Catering, created one of the best wedding and corporate catering companies in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. With more than 20 years of experience in the culinary arts and training at the esteemed Le Cordon Bleu Paris, Chef Michael is enthusiastic about taking his clients on a journey of tantalizing flavors and palate pleasing creations.

Chef Michael’s high standard for food is paralleled by his staff’s commitment to providing excellent customer service.

“When a bride and groom come to the tastings, if there is something they don’t love about the menu we change it,” Chef Michael says. “We make sure to give options. At the end of the day it is all about making sure the couple gets exactly what they want and everyone has a great time.”

Planning a wedding is stressful but Four Seasons Catering strives to reduce the obstacles. They are currently one of the only companies that can finance weddings, working within the couple’s budget and preparing a payment plan. Chef Michael schedules only one event per day, which allows him to give his undivided attention to the details of the client.

“We start taking photos 24 hours prior to the wedding and every couple of hours we send photo updates to the couple so they can relax knowing that everything is being taken care of,” he says.

Behind a great chef is a fantastic team that makes Chef Michael proud. “I am blessed to have a phenomenal staff that understands the chemistry behind food,” he says. “My sous chef Chris is one of the most incredible people I have ever worked with. He has a solid foundation in the culinary arts and is a natural cook.”

Chris shares Chef Michael’s exuberance for cooking and has gained an abundance of experience at Four Seasons Catering. “I have learned so much from Chef Michael,” Chris says. “I have learned what it takes to run a successful catering business and the importance of having a wonderful team around you.”

There is a saying that behind every successful man, there is a strong, wise and hardworking woman. This saying couldn’t be more accurate in regards to Chef Michael and his wife, Melinda. When asked about her role in the company, Melinda smiles and says, “Whatever is needed.”

Four Seasons Catering has a storefront in downtown Covington where they offer a delicious selection of soups, sandwiches and baked goods. This is where Melinda is able to share her passion for baking. One patron described her Olivia’s Friendship Rolls (named in honor of her mother) as a taste of heaven.

In addition to wedding catering, Four Seasons Catering offers corporate catering for companies such as Duke Energy, KMK Law and Procter & Gamble, among others. Chef Michael partnered with Braxton Brewing Company to run a full menu, created to perfectly pair with Braxton’s fantastic beer selection. He was honored to be hired to cook for an event for the professionals at Wild Flavors, which develops flavor profiles used all over the world. Four Seasons Catering also has a wholesale bakery business that provides delicious treats to coffee shops and corporate clients.

Chef Michael and Melinda are committed to their community and believe it is imperative to give back. They are actively involved in the Emergency Shelter of Northern, Kentucky and Reset Ministries, a Christian  program for individuals who have made devastating choices in their lives that have led to imprisonment or addiction. Every week, Chef Michael prepares a delicious meal to show love, care and support to people working to improve their lives.

For Chef Michael and Four Seasons Catering, creating food is an art. He holds himself and his staff to the highest standards each time they cook. One of his favorite things is watching the emotion in people’s faces as they enjoy his food. “The best sound in the universe is a quiet dining room,” Chef Michael says. “Because it means we have done our job.”
