Jordan Wedding

Jordan Wedding

Kaitlin and Gere Jordan were surrounded by 165 friends and family for their unforgettable vintage wedding on August 2, 2014. The ceremony and reception were held at The Dayton Art Institute. The wedding party consisted of six bridesmaids, two groomsmen, one flower girl, a ring bearer and two ushers. Kaitlin's dress was an eggshell hue called 'antique' and looked stunning with the wedding party's black attire. Flowers were shades of beige, white, pale pinks, oranges and purples.

The couple first met through work when Gere started consulting for the company at which Kaitlin worked. After consulting for three months, he was asked to become a full-time employee. The two were around each other almost every day, developing a great friendship before they began dating five months later.

While in the middle of watching a movie at Gere's house, he picked up his work notebook and started writing. Irritated, Kaitlin asked "What is so important that you have to write it out right this minute?" Gere explained that he had an idea for one of his clients but needed Kaitlin to read it back to him to ensure that it made sense. Right in the middle paragraph she read, "I'm about to propose to Kaitlin... I am really nervous, but I am really ready..." When she looked up from the notebook, Gere had the ring box open and confessed that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. Of course Kaitlin replied with an emphatic "yes!"

Some of Kaitlin and Gere's favorite moments from their special day include their 'first look,' the few minutes they had to talk alone, seeing their parents glowing with pride and happiness, the smile and hug between Kaitlin and her father just before walking down the aisle and squeezing eight people together into the photo booth and attempting to switch places between shots. The switching didn't work so well, but it's a hilarious memory nonetheless.

Following Jordan's beautiful wedding day, the newlyweds enjoyed an incredible honeymoon. First, they spend two days in Rome visiting the Vatican and the Colosseum. After leaving Rome, they went on the Celebrity Reflection cruise ship for a ten night Eastern Mediterranean cruise. While on the cruise Kaitlin and Gere visited Messina, Italy; Mykonos, Greece; Ephesus, Turkey; Rhodes, Greece; Santorini, Greece; Athens, Greece; and Naples, Italy.
