Sydney Kurz + Callen Turnbull

Sydney Kurz + Callen Turnbull

Sydney and Callen form an enthusiastic couple with a passion for outdoor activities such as skiing, adventures and a heartfelt love of dogs. Their relationship began through mutual friends and an interest in live music. After five years of dating, Callen proposed during one of their favorite activities, hiking, while in one of their favorite cities, Ashville, North Carolina.

Couple kept their ceremony true to themselves by being married by uncle, Judge Ned Turnbull, and siblings standing for the ceremony. Sister, Cameron, was Maid of Honor, flower girl and ring bearer. Ben and Drew Turnbull and Ryan Kurz were groomsmen.

The Kurz Turnbull wedding at The Monastery was enhanced tremendously by not one but two live bands – The Young Heirlooms and Blue Wisp. Young Heirlooms brought genuine talented vocals and music that set the tone for the evening for the 200 guests as they entered the Monastery. Legendary Blue Wisp band provided an evening of jazz music that filled the dance floor.

The Monastery venue lent itself to a romantic evening for all the family and friends that enjoyed sweet treats from Miss Sprinkles and featured Turnbull wine. Flowers by Eden Florist enhanced the vintage rentals from Cincinnati Vignettes. The evening ended with guests enjoying HoneyBaked Ham sliders before heading off to 21 C.

The Groom’s parents hosted a magnificent rehearsal dinner at Skeleton Root Winery. Mrs. Turnbull shared her heirloom china for a family style dinner. Brunch was at the Bride’s parent’s home, food provided by C’est Cheese food truck and Holtman’s Donuts. A lovely way to end the Best Weekend Ever.
